Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Scientific published manuscripts must follow the rules of writing:

1. Manuscripts should be submitted online via the website open journal system. Authors must be logged in to make a submission. Online registration is free of charged.

2. The manuscript should contain a maximum of 10,000 words and not exceed 14 pages of A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) including figures and tables, not contain attachments, written using Microsoft Word (* .doc) with a margin for the top, right, left, and bottom is 2 cm, multiple pages mirror margin, and section start continuous.

3. Format of manuscript consists of: Title, Author Name, Address and Email correspondence, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and discussion, Conclusions, Recommendations (optional), Acknowledgements (optional) and References. Writing template can be downloaded here.

4. Title, Abstract, and Keywords must be written in Indonesian and English

  • The title should be less than 20 words, using font type Times New Roman, font size 14, bold, single space and left aligned for both Indonesian and English titles. The first letter of the Indonesian and English title is capitalized (Sentence case). English title must be italicized.
  • The abstract is not more than 200 words and does not contain images or tables, written in Times New Roman 10 font, justified, and single space. Title of “ABSTRACT” (in English) and “ABSTRAK” (in Indonesian) using Times New Roman 10, bold, uppercase, and left align.
  • Keywords contain maximum of five words that are separated by a semicolon (;), using Times New Roman 10 font, and single space.

5. Author Name, Address, and Email Correspondence

  • The author's name is typed below the title, written complete without mentioning the degree, left align, Times New Roman 10 font, bold, and single space.
  • The author address (institution name and address of workplace) is written full under the author's name, left align, use Times New Roman 9 font, single space.
  • The email address is written under the author address, Times New Roman 9 font, left aligned, and single space.
  • If the author is more than one, it must be added the conjunction "and" (not the symbol "&").
  • If the author is more than one and come from different institution, it is written superscript numbers after the name of institutions.
  • Corespondence e-mail is compulsory.

6. The manuscript content

  • The manuscript content is written in two columns, Times New Roman 10 font, single space, the first line indent 0.5 cm, distance between column is 0.8 cm.
  • It consists of four main sections:
  1. Introduction,
  2. Method
  3. Results and discussion, and
  4. Conclusions; followed by: Recommendation (optional), Acknowledgments (optional), and References.

7. Heading

  • Main heading is written with capitalized first letter (Sentence case), left aligned, Times New Roman 10 font, bold, single space with numbering (e.g. 1. Introduction) except for Recommendation, Acknowledgment, and References.
  • Subheading (if any) is written with capitalized first letter (Sentence case), left align, Times New Roman 10 font, bold, single space with numbering (see template).

8. Table

  • Title of table is displayed at the top of the table, using Times New Roman 11 font, left aligned, and single space.
  • The numbering of the table title using Arabic numerals (Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, etc.).
  • The content of table is typed using Times New Roman font sizes 9-10, left aligned, and single space.
  • The table using only horizontal border for top, inside and bottom border without any vertical border allowed.
  • Source or information of table is placed under the table, left aligned, using Times New Roman 9 font, and single space.

9. Figure/Image

  • Figure/image is displayed in .tif/.jpg/.jpeg/.png format with acceptable resolution and must be clearly readable.
  • Title of figure/image is displayed under the associated figure/image, using Times New Roman 10 font, left aligned, and single space.
  • The numbering of the figure/image using Arabic numerals (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.).
  • The type and font size for the contents of the figure/image using the Times New Roman font sizes 9-10 with a single space.
  • Source or information of figure is placed after the title, left align, written in Times New Roman 9 font.

10. The mathematical equation

  • The mathematical equation should be written clearly and accompanied by the necessary information.
  • The numbering of mathematical equation using Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.)

11. Headers and footers including page numbers should not be used. All hypertext links and bookmarks section should be removed from the manuscript.

12. Citation and Reference are written in accordance with the format Elsevier Harvard (with titles). This citation format can be used only with Mendeley Software.

  • Personal blogs, or non-scientific web sites should not be taken as references.
  • The minimum number of references is twelve.
  • The primary references must be at least 80% taken from the last ten years.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. I hereby declare that this submission is my own work.

  2. I hereby stated that this manuscript have no plagiarism matter.

  3. I declare the submission has no potential conflict of interest.

  4. I hereby stated that this manuscript have never been previously published in any other scientific publication and not being under reviewing process of any other scientific publication.

  5. The submitted manuscript contains maximum 10.000 words and not exceed 14 pages A4 paper including figures and tables, without any appendixes.

  6. The submitted manuscript has been written using Microsoft Word (.doc).

  7. Title already brief and concise, written in English, and less than 20 words.

  8. Abstract already brief and concise and not exceed 200 words in Bahasa Indonesia and English respectively.

  9. Keywords are written in English, between three to five phrases.

  10. The manuscript structure already consist: Introduction, Method, Result and discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, and References.

  11. Citation and Reference are written in accordance with the format Elsevier Harvard (with titles). This citation format can be used only with Mendeley Software. The primary references are no less than 80% taken from the late ten years publications.

  12. The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed to the submitted manuscript.
